THANKFULNESS

I’ve been downhearted too long.

Caught up in the flurry of the world.

Today, this very moment, I kneel on bowed knees,

Looking to find solace  in the comforter’s hands.

I was a lost soul living unhappily.

In pieces I came, and peace I received.

Angered by everything around me.

In pieces I came, and peace I received,

When I finally understood thankfulness .

 

Angered by everything around me,

I had fueled a toxic mind.

When I finally understood thankfulness,

I found my lost hope and renewed my faith.
