Dawn sweep away the perils
That chided me in sleep
Praying and crying out, though nasal
My Saviour, He hears me weep
Turned on side, pillowing my fears
The stillness, so loud, envelops
Reminded of a hymn to repress the tears
Gathering courage, to never give up hope
The day is bursting through
And the remnants of night, they fade
Flee away you woe, perhaps one or two
For today we choose joy, and will not trade
In my days to come,
May I pay heed to Thy word.
The devil will seek to harm,
“I am with you”, You have said.
Before, now and ever.
When in lowly manner,
May my thoughts be pleasing to Thee.
And may it be, that my demeanor,
Will be a light shone, for all to see.
As before, now and ever.
In times of trials and hardship,
May my faith in You be replenished.
That if temptation to veer off should creep,
Your word will have me admonished
Just as before, now and ever.

Skies laden with stars so bright
See rooftops adorned with colored lights,
Carols chase the still winds,
And the bells are sounding
But behind this frosted window
It still is Christmas Eve.
Beneath the tree, presents galore,
Some to be opened at Christmas dawn
See the households rejoice and feast,
The world awaits the Saviour’s birth
A time to reflect, spread love and joy
It still is the eve before Christmas Day.
People crowd the streets and they cheer,
All come together, far and near.
Give heartily, sing merrily,
Love wholly, eat fully
The King is born in some hours
But for now it is still Christmas Eve.
Anticipation has chased the hours away
And the little ones croon in beds as they lay
The King of kings, He lies swathed in a manger
Meek and humble is our born Saviour.
Christmas is here with her precious gift.
Night is nigh,
I must say a prayer
I look up to the Most High,
He never fails to deliver.
In good times and bad times,
I will trust and obey
You have shown to mankind,
To salvation, you are the only way!
I will boast of you to the crowds,
They will hear of you Lord.
Even those with hearts so proud,
Eventually your glory they will accord
The people must know,
Of this Awesome God
Each day, new mercies bestowed,
Oh His name, I will forever uphold.
Night is nigh,
I must say a prayer.
Your ways I admire,
And I wish to bask in Thy favour.
Joy overflowing,
A heart is calling,
Pleading a new start
The journey ever delightful
To welcome a lost one, now found
Praise at my feet,
I am welcomed volitionally
My Father and I ever so proud
That the Kingdom thrives
Hear the angels cheer so loud
Time is passing
The soul is lacking
Each day growing weary
And see how I have been shut out
Sorrow begrips me, my tears are endless
The slate full once more
My stay cut short, I’m let go
The journey dejects me
Lost is the same soul, savoring in sin,
My Father and I, see us weep
Time has elapsed,
The soul is calling again
And I go running without restrain
To wipe that slate clean
Undeterred by the recurrent sinner
He is ever so THOUGHTFUL
No day goes by without me wanting to show REVERENCE
Give me your UNDERSTANDING oh Lord,
Such SELFLESSNESS He showed when He gave His life for us
I will invest TIME in doing things to His will
He will shepherd you according to the INTEGRITY of His heart
NOBILITY is written all over Him
JESUS is Lord forever.
I will continue to show ENDURANCE in my Saviour.
I will be a SUBMISSIVE servant and not disobey
He is UNPRETENTIOUS in all His ways.
My SUCCESS is assured when I involve Him in my plans.
