Four Legs

Blacky

Absolute presence, gifted me

From my four legged friend.

And my tears are of joy.

Mettlesome, he was.

Frogs,lizards, even a cobra,

They would attest to his gallantry.

He had the soul of a human.

Blacky of ebony fur, rest my friend,

Rest. I love you.
