BREWER

Naive as I may have been,

Because I showed a little too much.

Vulnerable I may have seemed,

Because I didn’t resist your touch.

I’m no fool

To be hurt by your ego.

I might have you thinking I stooped low,

But know that my only mistake,

Was playing brewer to your pride,

From my pool of unwariness.
